We’re excited to announce the release of Milan Manager Version 2.1, which brings powerful improvements to network conf guration troubleshooting.
The Network Diagram has been redesigned for improved readability. Endpoint devices connected to a network switch now appear stacked directly beneath it, closely reflecting the physical layout of an equipment rack. This makes it easier to understand the real - world topology at a glance.
Additionally, a new feature highlights gPTP Grandmaster device(s) within the diagram, making them easy to locate - even in large, complex networks.
In previous versions, Milan Manager could detect when the Primary and Secondary networks were inadvertently bridged - for example, by a cable between switches or a non-redundant device connected to both networks. While an Event Log message alerted users, identifying the exact bridging point required manual investigation.
With Version 2.1, a new algorithm automatically detects and identifies the specific device causing the bridge. This device is clearly marked in the Network Tab topology diagram, significantly reducing troubleshooting time and ensuring redundancy is restored quickly.
